My guess, however, is that it will not be able to use the files. My reasoning is that the HDF support in McIDAS ADDE servers is very specific to the datasets that they were tailored for. Can you read the CoastWatch HDF files in the IDV or McIDAS-V? If yes, they can be converted to AREA format which is usable in McIDAS-X.
