[McIDAS #XAM-728083]: RTGOESR No Navigation...

OK.  Just as an FYI: both the RTGOESR (GRB GOES-16 imagery) and NPGOESR 
(NOAAport
delivered GOES-16 imagery reconstituted into full scenes from the tiles that are
broadcast) are also available via ADDE on atm.ucar.edu (and will eventually
also be available on motherlode.unidata.ucar.edu and adde.ssec.wisc.edu).

Since there are a number of people/sites that are successfully using
Unidata McIDAS-X v2017+, it is unexpected to hear that you are having
problems.  The only thing that comes to mind is somehow you are
running older code that did not support the FixedGrid projection used
by all GRB GOES-16 imagery and the Full Disk GOES-16 imagery that is
sent in NOAAPort.

Please (re)check to make sure that your PATH is set to use the routines
from the v2017+ build and not something previous.  Here is what I would
do:

ls -alt `which map.k`

What are the time stamps associated with both imgdisp..k and map.k?
