[netCDF #GZH-759902]: netcdf4 client not reusing connections in opendap calls via curl

You raised this question some time ago if memory serves
and I did not have an answer then. Let me see if I can
resurrect what I discovered. Is there anyway you can tell
if your client programs are doing repeated calls to nc_open?
