[netCDF #YXN-259806]: Error in Make netcdf

Howdy Oluseun!

Can you try the latest daily snapshot:
ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/snapshot/netcdf-4-daily.tar.gz

Also I seem to recall that the default fortran on Macs has a problem working 
with gcc properly. Other mac users have reported success after installing the 
g95 compiler from the repository.
