Hi Tom, We think this problem might be caused by using gcc for your C compiler but pgCC for your C++ compiler. Is it possible to use the Portland Group C compiler instead of gcc as a workaround? Our installation document (section 3.2) explicitly says If using a vendor C++ compiler, use that vendor's C compiler to compile the C interface. Using different vendor compilers for C and C++ may not work. We don't test or support all combinations of C and C++ compilers, becasue there are often problems if they don't match. --Russ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: IRF-709042 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Critical Status: Closed
