Hi Andrew, Many, many apologies for the incredibly late reply to your inquiry! re: > Erased graphic frame(s) 1-1 > > gu.k: Done > Beginning Image Data transfer, bytes= 308980 > IMGDISP: loaded frame 1 > imgdisp.k: done > MAP: Completed frame 1 > MAP: Completed frame 1 > Font set to -Adobe-Helvetica-Medium-R-Normal- > EU: Restoring TEST2.ET to frame(s)= 1 > EU: Done > path.k: Plot failed with family HELMR - default used > path.k: PLOT ROTFLG FILE=RADFLYLG CURsor finished. > Frame saved in /data2/websat/rotf/KLCH_640x480.gif > > Here is what I ran? > > MCPATH=$MCPATH PATH=$PATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH mcenv -f 480x640 > -i 16 -g 16 << 'EOF' > sf.k > eg.k > gu.k MAKE 3 BLACK > imgdisp.k IMAGES/FILTER LAT=30.06 93.13 MAG=1 EU=TEST2 > map.k X 8 FILE=OUTUSINT > map.k X 7 > font.k SET HELMR > path.k PLOT ROTFLG FILE=RADFLYLG COL=7 LCOL=7 LABEL=YES LINE=NO LSIZE=14 > frmsave.k X /data2/websat/rotf/KLCH_640x480.gif > > EOF > > NOTE: IMAGES/FILTER is a group for Composite US NEXRAD imagery from N0R > data with some radar cleanup applied. > > Why does this occur? Hmm... PATH is a very old command. I wonder if it does not understand any but the default font!? I wouldn't think so, but... Questions: - have you tried specifying any other fonts for your PATH execution? If yes, did any work? If not, then my suspicion that PATH can only use the default font would be verified. - do you get the same failure if you specify the font using the FONT= keyword in a PATH execution? (FONT= is a global keyword, so it can be specified in any McIDAS command invocation.) > path.k: Plot failed with family HELMR - default used > > Any help or explanation, would be greatly appreciated. I have never run into this problem, but, quite frankly, I rarely use PATH, and when I have used it, I never tried to change the font used. If you continue to have problems, or if you really need for the font to be settable, I will dig into the code more.
