Gilbert, Apparently, there was no downstream LDM process on noaaport.admin.niu.edu that was requesting data from idd.unidata.ucar.edu: [ldm@noaaport logs]$ hostname noaaport.admin.niu.edu [ldm@noaaport logs]$ fgrep idd.unidata `ls -rt ~ldm/logs/ldmd.log*` | wc -l 0 This is consistent with the fail-over failure and the restart success.
