[IDV #MRN-225359]: second time

I'm guessing it's a threading issue where the animation is removed 
before the property gets handled. It happened yesterday and when it 
happened again today, I figured I'd file the report.  Thanks for looking 
into it.  I think your fix should avoid the NPE.
