Hi Vittorio, re: getting GEM data from idd.unidata.ucar.edu > So I am assuming we can: > > request CMC .* idd.unidata.ucar.edu Yes, this should work. We get the data from CMC using: # CMC/GEM request GEM "CMC_reg_" ldm.meteo.ec.gc.ca Whenever you are in doubt about whether or not you are ALLOWed to REQUEST data from an upstream feed host, the best thing to do is to run the LDM utility 'notifyme'. Here is an example that should be pertinent to the question at hand: <as 'ldm' on weather and/or climate> notifyme -vl- -f GEM -h idd.unidata.ucar.edu The output from this command will tell you if your machine is ALLOWed to REQUEST data from the machine specified. If you wait long enough (GEM data does not flow continuously), you will see the receipt of GEM data on the upstream host idd.unidata.ucar.edu. re: > Thanks for your help! No worries.
