Mark,

If NMAP2 exits when loading, and you built it locally, does it complain about
some X widget resources? If so, that might be a sign that it was linked against 
lesstif
insted of OpenMotif. I have seen that lesstif fails to fully implement a 
row-column widget that
GEMPAK uses.

The $MODEL output looks good, and if Garp is running on your end then good to 
hear!
