[AWIPS #NBB-895522]: AWIPS demonstration

Hi there,

> Unidata offers?

Thanks for reaching out. Here at NSF Unidata, we do not provide operational
services directly, but with a business
agreement we may be able to assist with helping you set up our version of AWIPS
locally to use as your operational
platform. We provide freely available versions of CAVE and EDEX. CAVE is a
desktop application that allows you to
view and analyze weather products, and EDEX is the backend server which
ingests, decodes, and serves the data.

Are you familiar with AWIPS already? Would you be interested in running your
own EDEX server? Depending on the
data you want or need, the EDEX system can consist of one or more machines, and
may require intensive computing
resources.

Let us know if you have further questions and we'll do our best to answer them.

Thanks.
