Hi there, > I am running version 3.9.15. of Python. Since it is a newer version I thought > that would be ok. Unfortunately, this version of CAVE is very dependent on it's specific version of Python3.6. We are hopefully working on solutions that will be better in the future, but this installation requires installing python3.6 at the system level (/Library/Frameworks/) and it will override your current setting of python3. If you use python regularly (3.9) for other things, and don't want to override to 3.6, I might be able to work directly with you to install 3.6, but then set your default python back to 3.9, and add a short script to run CAVE with the proper version of python. Let me know if that's something you'd be interested in and we could possibly work together next week some time? I suspect CAVE will run properly once it's able to use Python3.6.
