Hi there, > Hello, I am new to python and I am trying to import the DataAccessLayer from > python-awips version > 18.1.10. Looking at your error output, I'm guessing you might not have jep installed? Have you tried downloading our environment.yml and creating a conda environment first, and then running the notebook with that environment? The environment.yml can be found here: https://github.com/Unidata/python-awips/blob/main/environment.yml You will have to either add `python-awips` to the list of dependencies in that environment file first or install python-awips after. Some instructions for install python-awips from our source are found here: http://unidata.github.io/python-awips/#source-code-with-examples-install One of the main benefits of doing that, are you will get our example notebooks locally and can play around with those as well. Please let me know if any of that helps. --Shay Carter She/Her/Hers AWIPS Software Engineer UCAR - Unidata If you're interested, please feel free to fill out a survey about the support you receive: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeDIkdk8qUMgq8ZdM4jhP-ubJPUOr-mJMQgxInwoAWoV5QcOw/viewform Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: IES-324782 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Normal Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
