Greetings! Apologies for the trouble's you've encountered. It looks like you've run into a bug with netCDF-java's decoding of those NEXRAD GINI composites--that's why all of ToolsUI, IDV, and Weather and Climate Toolkit all have problems. 1. I'd say the best way to work with the GINI files depends on the rest of your technology stack (once netCDF-java is fixed). If you're using Python, we also have GINI support in MetPy. 2. The NEXRAD GINI composite files in the Google Cloud Storage bucket are identical to those on https://thredds.ucar.edu 3. I'm not aware of anywhere else hosting the GRIB2 composites. Depending on your needs, you can access them from https://thredds.ucar.edu . This is provided that your needs don't require an operational data source (we don't promise 24/7 reliability, but our feeds are supported on a best effort basis) and that the use of our server doesn't impact our academic users (it was unclear from your original message how many clients would be connecting every 5-10 minutes).
