Hi Ghansham,

Variable attributes that cause conversion of data when the Variable is enhanced 
include:

scale_factor
add_offset
valid_range
_FillValue
missing_value
_Unsigned

NetCDF-Java does no conversion based on the "units" attribute of the data 
variable or time variable, but you'll obviously want those to be the same among 
the datasets in an aggregation.
