NOAA Port Data Users,
GSL's NOAAPort Receive System (NRS) is currently down due to problems encountered during the patching process. The ITS team is working to revert the changes made to the system during the patching process and we hope to have the systems back on-line shortly.
We have a handful of specific data sets on /public that will be affected, including METARs, SAO, ACARS, Icing and various GOES derived products found in these directories, as well as in mirrored locations on jet, hera, and ursa.
/public/data/metar/netcdf
/public/data/sao/netcdf
/public/data/acars/{raw,qc}/netcdf
/public/data/nevs/grids/ncep_ifi/grib2
/public/data/rtvs/grids/{cip,fip}/130/grib2
/public/data/radar/opera/<station>/netcdf
/public/data/sat/noaaport/goes16/*
The outage will also affect all data landing under /public/data/grib/noaaport, as well as capture of all NOAAPORT data for the Facility Data Repository (FDR) on the RDHPCS HPSS system.
NOAAPort data used by GSL's AWIPS systems and GSL's WAVE service will also be interrupted.
If you need us to backfill specific missed data sets, DSG could potentially find alternate sources on a case-by-case basis. Please request any backfills you may need.
We apologize for the inconvenience. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact GSL's Data Services Group at
