Hi Pete, NB: I moved this from the CONDUIT department of our inquiry tracking system to the NOAAPort department... re: > Happy Monday, Tom! Ah yes, another smoky Monday here in Colorado (LOTS of smoke along the foothills from the Cameron Peak fire). re: > Here's another - they are realigning NOAAPort channels. > > https://www.weather.gov/media/notification/SCN20-77_SBN_Channel_Realignment_August_2020.pdf > > Not sure if this means the NIMAGE|NGRID|NOTHER|etc feeds will change also? It shouldn't as most of what I see in this notification has to do with bandwidth allocations for the various channels. The only way that the classification of products into IDD feeds should change is if they actually start mucking with the product headers. I don't think that this is what will be done since the impact would affect all WFOs that have NOAAPort downlinks in the same way that would affect the rest of us who are listening in to the SBN. Nonetheless, this transition is something that will have to be monitored carefully... Thanks for the heads-up!
