Hello, I've reviewed the config.log file you provided, but it is not immediately obvious why the `configure` script fails. I'm afraid I'll have to refer you to support for the HDF group, found here: https://portal.hdfgroup.org/display/support. Hopefully they will be able to help guide you in installing their software.
