[netCDF #BSD-343561]: Failure in test-suite: tst_h_vars

Hello,

What version of HDF5 are you using?  These `h_*` tests do not contain any 
netCDF code, but rather are pure HDF5 API tests.  A failure in this directory 
suggests that there may be an issue with the hdf5 installation.

If you can tell me what version of hdf5 you are using, we may be able to debug 
this. Thanks!
