With respect to certificates, you should not need them to access rda. It used to be the case that accessing ESG datasets did require certficates, but that should not affect you. Your curl experiments seem definitive that libcurl is working ok. I added HTTP.vERBOSE=1 to my .dodsrc to see if there was any indication that .netrc was being accessed. One more check: you have .netrc (and .dodsrc) either in your HOME directory (as specified by the HOME environment variable -- check) or in the current directory in which the nccopy command is being run, but not both. =Dennis Heimbigner Unidata Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: HAW-868287 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
