Hello, It is generally suggested to have parallel and serial netCDF installed separately. In the case of a netCDF3 install with pnetcdf, this is absolutely the case. If pnetCDF support is enabled at configure time, then it will be used by the corresponding library. When using hdf5 for file I/O, the netCDF library will use parallel I/O (or not) depending purely on how the HDF5 library was built. I hope this helps, -Ward > Full Name: José Luis Gordillo > Email Address: address@hidden > Organization: Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México > Package Version: 4.4 > Operating System: linux > Hardware: HPC cluster with lustre > Description of problem: Hi, > > We provide NetCDF libraries for users of an HPC cluster. > We want to provide serial, and parallel libraries (both with HDF and PNetCDF). > > Is it possible to have all these features within a single package?
