Hello Robert, This is a known issue. Currently, we are not officially supporting HDF5 1.10.0, but support will be available in the upcoming 4.4.1 release. The main issue is that HDF5 1.10.0, combined with netcdf-c 4.4.0 or earlier, creates binary files that are not readable on systems that are using hdf5 1.8.16 or earlier. There is a release candidate for 4.4.1, available from our GitHub page, at https://github.com/Unidata/netcdf-c/releases. There are still test failures, but these can be ignored for the time being. I hope this helps! -Ward > I am sorry.
