Cooper, I'm not sure if we ever solved your problem, but the original error you got > FAIL: tst_h_vars > ================ > > > *** Checking HDF5 variable functions. > *** Checking HDF5 boolen variables...ok. > *** Checking HDF5 variable with unlimited dimension...ok. > *** Checking HDF5 deflate filter setting and getting...Sorry! Unexpected > result, tst_h_vars.c, line: 230 is caused by having an old version of HDF5 (1.8.7 or earlier) installed, which had a bug that's detected and causes a failure in recent versions of netCDF. Your "make check" should work fine with HDF5 versions 1.8.8 and later. If you have to rebuild HDF5 from source anyway, I would recommend just using the latest version 1.8.13, as that's what we've done the most testing with. --Russ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: HSI-795290 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Closed
