[netCDF #OJW-260946]: hdf5 error

Hi Ben,

The flag you missed was --with-zlib= specifying where zlib is installed.  See 
section 
"4.3.7. Specifying other libraries and headers" of the HDF5 installation 
document at
   http://www.hdfgroup.org/ftp/HDF5/current/src/unpacked/release_docs/INSTALL
for instructions for how to specify this, either with the --with-zlib option or 
a
combination of CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS environment variables or configure 
arguments.
