Hi Lisa, > I am attempting to open a document with the file extension .wctproj. > > I thought it was a NOAA document but, when I tried to use the NOAA Weather > and Climate Toolkit to open it, it told me that this was a NetCDF document. > Can you tell how to open this document and/or what I need to download in > order to do so? NetCDF files typically have the extension ".nc" or sometimes ".cdf" if they follow an old and now deprecated convention. If what you have really is a netCDF data file, you can see what's in it with the "ncdump" command line utility, or with a wide variety of other software listed here: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/netcdf/docs/software.html If you want a text version of the data, see the answer to this FAQ: How do I convert netCDF data to ASCII or text? http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/netcdf/docs/faq.html#converttotext If you have a Windows system, you can download and install pre-built binaries, including the ncdump.exe program, here: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/netcdf/docs/winbin.html --Russ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: BOU-407285 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Closed
