[netCDF #DWV-498307]: Error while installing netcdf

Several DAP access problems have been fixed since the 4.2.1.1 version
was released.  I recommend updating to the 4.3.1.1 release and seeing
if that doesn't resolve the problems you see:

  ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/netcdf-4.3.1.1.tar.gz

Alternatively, if you don't need to test remote access to data via the 
DAP protocols, you could build with the configure flag

  --disable-dap-remote-tests
