[netCDFJava #KRC-466779]: query for CF point netcdf

Hello Ghansham,

CF conventions don't support groups either for gridded and point feature data. 
Also, CF clients should be able to handle netCDF-4 classic files so you don't 
really need to convert your files into netCDF-3 and you still can take 
advantage of some of the netCDF-4 features like chunking or compression.
Groups might cause problems in CF compliant clients that don't support netcd-4 
data model.
