[netCDF #MMX-467051]: help with netCDF installation

Greetings Ben,

The test that is failing has to do with testing the OPeNDAP capabilities of 
netCDF. Would you mind also sending the log from `make check`?

Also, the --has-*** flags no longer work for external libs, so --with-zlib=/usr 
will not work. However, if /usr/lib is in your system path, the configure 
script should find it and use it. However, just to be sure, go ahead and add 
the include and lib paths to your CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS, just as you did with 
HDF5.
