[netCDF #JHS-804544]: Netcdf4 multi-dimension attributes

Right, that's a reasonable way to get an attribute that can be 
interpreted as a multidimensional array.  But note that the 
array dimensions for such a type must be unnamed constants that 
are declared as part of the array field in the compound type;
they cannot be netCDF dimensions.
