[netCDF #JHS-804544]: Netcdf4 multi-dimension attributes

Only for n=1.

Attributes can be a vector of values of any type (inlcuding user-defined types 
like compound
types and vlens).  This is more restrictive than HDF5, where attributes can be 
multidimensional 
for n>1, which makes them not much different from variables/datasets.
