[netCDF #WXP-996743]: HDF error with netcdf-4.1.2-rc1

Howdy Jeff!

I assume there is some bug here, though we have not yet found a way to 
reproduce it in C. So I have moved this issue to the bug database. You can 
follow and comment upon it there...
