Version 1.2.3 of the netCDF-Perl package has problems with recent netCDF
packages: it expects that the netCDF header-file defines the symbol
MAX_NC_OPEN, which no longer exists. The solution is to use version 1.2.4 of
the netCDF-Perl package.
