[netCDF #VRM-923538]: [netcdfgroup] creating libnetcdff.a

Was your question answered by the netcdfgroup mailing list responses, or do you 
still
have a question about this?  If you build a static library and don't configure 
with the
--enable-shared or --enable-separate-fortran, then there is no separate Fortran 
library
created, it's just included in libnetcdf.a with the C library.
