[netCDF #RUE-876772]: Netcdf/opendap build

Kevin- ok, that dbx output helped a lot.
It looks to me like you have a
odd or non-standard XDR implementation,
which is surprising
since Sun invented XDR.
I will see if
I can produce a workaround.
