Hi Guillaume, Sorry to have taken so long to respond to your question ... > while trying to compile libnetcdf 4.1beta2, I get the following error. > > my compile environment is : > * debian lennny > * gcc 4.3.2-1.1 > * libhdf5-1.8.3 > > all other tests pass... > > any clue for that ? No, unfortunately we can't reproduce that problem here, however there are reports that HDF5-1.8.3-snap2 and later releases have fixed the first problem you mention. We are currently testing our snapshot software against HDF5-1.8.3-snap2, and it builds successfully in many Linux environments: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/builds/snapshot/ --Russ > *** Checking HDF5 attribute functions some more. > HDF5-DIAG: Error detected in HDF5 (1.8.3) thread 1084789040: > #000: ../../../src/H5Tnative.c line 119 in H5Tget_native_type(): cannot > retrieve native type > major: Invalid arguments to routine > minor: Inappropriate type > #001: ../../../src/H5Tnative.c line 175 in H5T_get_native_type(): not a > valid size > major: Invalid arguments to routine > minor: Inappropriate type > *** Creating tst_xplatform2_3.nc with HDF only...Sorry!
