Hi Tongmu Li, I think IDL has functions for reading netCDF data, so if you have IDL for Windows, you may not need to install our netCDF software. See this entry on using IDL to read netCDF data: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/software.html#IDL However, the explanation for how to get the latest Windows version is here: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/faq.html#windows As it says there, the pre-built netCDF-3.6.2 libraries are still experimental, but there are versions available that work with different Fortran compilers. If you only need the C library, the differences should not matter. --Russ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: CPF-820887 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Closed
