Hi Ludovic,

Thanks for your persistence in reporting what appears to be a bug.

I have duplicated the problem here.  Ed, the netCDF-4 developer, is away
from the office until next week, but I'll see if I can figure out where
the problem is.  This is a major advertised feature of netCDF-4, so making
it work correctly is a high priority!
