Hi Luis,

I'm not sure on what system you are trying to build netCDF, but nf_test
should link without commenting out any lines.  In particular, the
functions such as FCALLSCFUN4 are all defined in the cfortran.h
header file, which is #included by ncfortran.h, which in turn is
#included at the top of fort-var1io.c.

To report problems, please be sure you are following the instructions
for building in the netCDF installation guide:

 http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/netcdf-install/

and when something goes wrong report the details requested here, so
we can try to reproduce the problem:
