There are lots of options for windows users. Read about them here:
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/faq.html#windows

(BTW, I think installing cygwin is the easiest and most foolproof way to get
netCDF with Windows, but it's not the only way.)

Please let me know if you can't get it working...
