Hi Domenico, > I have a little problem. > I should extract data from some .cdf files for making some calculations, but > I don't know how. > All programs I downloaded allow me only to graph the data... > Can you help me? If you want the data in ASCII text form as comma separated values, you can use the ncdump utility program, which is part of the netCDF software package. You can import such data represented as comma separated values into spreadsheets to do calculations. Alternatively, many of the software packages described here: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/software.html can do data analysis, not just graphing and viualization. Examples of analysis programs that can read netCDF data include Octave, CDO, NCO, Ferret, GrADS, MATLAB, IDL, Perl, Python, R, or Ruby. --Russ Russ Rew UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden http://www.unidata.ucar.edu Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: HHS-894678 Department: Support netCDF Priority: Normal Status: Closed
