20050120: ftp down?

I just FTPed the netCDF distribution from our FTP server from
a machine outside of the Unidata domain, so I can assure you that the
FTP server is not down.

Please make sure that you are going to the correct server:

machine:   ftp.unidata.ucar.edu
user:      anonymous
pass:      your_full_email_address
directory: pub/netcdf

Also, please make sure that you are attempting the FTP from a machine
that has DNS with both forward and reverse name lookup and that you
are trying to FTP to a directory in which you have write permission.
