20010424: irregular mesh questions

Ben,

The netCDF library can be used to do everything that you want PROVIDING
that you can create and adhere to a convention for specifying irregular,
time-varying, simulation meshes.

You might try posting to the netCDF mailing-list to see if someone has
developed such a convention.
