You must be using a non-standard shell (e.g. "csh" instead of "sh" or
"bash").
If your shell is csh-like, then try the following:
setenv PERL_DL_NONLAZY 3D1
/usr/local/bin/perl -Iblib/arch -Iblib/lib \
-I/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503/sun4-solaris \
-I/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503 test.pl
and tell me the output. If you're not using a csh-like shell, then let
me know.
