Just "boom", eh? No error message or anything? Yuck!
What happens if you drop into the "perl/" subdirectory and manually
execute the command
PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/local/bin/perl -Iblib/arch -Iblib/lib \
-I/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.6.0/i686-linux \
-I/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.6.0 \
test.pl
