This indicates that you either need to rebuild the netCDF library using the "-n32" compiler option to be compatible with the way your model was compiled (I think -n32 is the default for Irix platforms), or you need to use the "-o32" compiler option when compiling your model to be compatible with the way the netCDF library was built.
