Thanks for the information.  I was unaware that xmgr could read netCDF
data, but now that you've pointed it out, I've added an xmgr entry to
our "Software for Manipulating or Displaying NetCDF Data" page at

  http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/netcdf/software.html

after finding where the latest version could be downloaded from.
