>From: address@hidden >Organization: University of Oklahoma >Keywords: 199511280053.AA02008 netCDF OS/2 DOS Tim, >Hi. We tried looking for the DOS and OS/2 netCDF software on your web-server >and found the listing shown below. No reference to DOS or OS/2 that I can >make out. Am I missing anything? The netCDF distribution is "one size fits all". If you are going to build the distribution, you FTP the package and build it according to the instructions (following the caveats I listed in an earlier message and you have included below). If you are using a web browser, then you can get to the distribution at: ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/ There you will find several files/directory of interest. In particular, the current distribution is contained in: netcdf.tar.Z. To unpack this, you will have to have an uncompress for DOS or OS/2 or you could uncompress it on a Unix box and move it down to the PC. You could also go to the msdos subdirectory (ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/msdos/) and get the distribution as a ZIP file: NETCDF.ZIP Is there something else you are asking about that I am missing? If so, please let me know. >Thanks, > >Tim Hughes >----------------- >20-Oct-95 15:37 - alpha-osf1 20-Oct-95 15:37 - >24-Oct-95 00:29 1K hp-hpux9 24-Oct-95 00:29 1K >20-Oct-95 15:36 - hp9000-hpux9 20-Oct-95 15:36 - >24-Oct-95 00:29 1K mipsel-ultrix 24-Oct-95 00:29 1K >07-Aug-95 14:33 - RCS 07-Aug-95 14:33 - >30-Jan-95 00:00 1K README 30-Jan-95 00:00 1K >07-Aug-95 14:32 2K readme.subdir 07-Aug-95 14:32 2K >20-Oct-95 15:28 - risc-ultrix 20-Oct-95 15:28 - >20-Oct-95 16:14 - rs6000-aix 20-Oct-95 16:14 - >27-Jan-95 00:00 - sgi-irix4 27-Jan-95 00:00 - >20-Oct-95 15:35 - sgi-irix5 20-Oct-95 15:35 - >20-Oct-95 16:11 - sun4-sunos4 20-Oct-95 16:11 - >20-Oct-95 15:46 - sun4-sunos5 20-Oct-95 15:46 - As for this list, you can look at the FAQ and see which platforms Version 2.3.2 runs on: Platforms and Portability What does netCDF run on? Version 2.3.2 of netCDF has been tested on the following platforms: * AIX-3.2 (see note below on AIX) * HPUX-9.0 (see note below on HPUX) * IRIX-4.0.5F (see note below on IRIX) * MSDOS-5.0 * NeXTOS-3.0 * OS/2-1.2 * OSF1-1.2 * Solaris-2.3 * SunOS-4.1.3 * UNICOS-6.1.6 * Ultrix-4.3 * VMS-5.5-2 In addition to OS/2 1.2, I know that it runs on OS/2 1.3 and should run on OS/2 2.x and 3.0 (Warp). previous message: >We support netCDF on OS/2 1.2/3 using the Microsoft C 6.0 and Fortran 5.1 >compilers.
