announce: release candidate 2.2.18 and tutorial documentation are available

This archive contains answers to questions sent to Unidata support through mid-2025. Note that the archive is no longer being updated. We provide the archive for reference; many of the answers presented here remain technically correct, even if somewhat outdated. For the most up-to-date information on the use of NSF Unidata software and data services, please consult the Software Documentation first.

A release candidate for netcdf-java 2.2.18 is now available at

 http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf-java/

Any testing before we make the actual stable release would be welcome.

Also, tutorial documentation from the recent workshop is at:

The Runtime Loading (Section 7) is new and may be of interest. This 
docuemntation will continue to evolve, feedback is welcome!
