In order to create a pseudo-log scaling, you will need simulate a log curve with a number of linear segments. The process for doing this is, admittedly cumbersome, but it is not too hard especially if you incorporate the series of SU commands in a BATCH file as this will make it a lot easier to go in and tweak segments to get the effect that you are looking for.
