Given your noaa.gov email address, I am not sure that we are allowed to give you access to Unidata McIDAS - our license to distribute McIDAS is limited to educational institutions. Non-.edu sites are allowed to download Unidata McIDAS if they are members in good standing of the McIDAS User's Group (MUG) that is operated by the Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) of the University of Wisconsin (UW) at Madison. If the McIDAS installation is at and on behalf of NCSU, I think we will be able to grant you access.
